Empowering Asia’s Sustainable Future: Collaborate, Innovate, and Lead the Pathways to Zero Emissions

Adopting to climate change is a mission for all humankind. Asia's transition to a diversified and sustainable energy system is gaining momentum, driven by national targets and supportive government policies. Fast-growing economies in the region need coherent and decisive plans for timely implementation of decarbonisation technologies and effective policies for opening markets and adopting new technologies.

In these times, Asian countries are moving forward beyond borders to achieve decarbonisation that is appropriate for the Asian region under the Asia Zero Emission Community (AZEC) platform formed in 2023. Energy transition cannot be completed by just one country or organization. It requires co-creation beyond countries, governments, and people. Stakeholders in these spheres must share a common understanding of transition technologies, in addition to financial/regulation strategies surrounding energy transition.

The Asia Zero Emission Center, being a part of ERIA, aims to serve as a platform for policy dialogues and to be a knowledge and innovation hub for diverse stakeholders through enhanced cooperation and collaboration among Asian countries. We will lead the various pathways to zero emissions for achieving a sustainable future in Asia, the most dynamically evolving region of the world.
