Health Care Dialogue between Japan and Viet nam

This event report summarises the very first online seminar jointly organised by Medical Excellence JAPAN (MEJ) and the Economic Research Institute for ASEAN and East Asia (ERIA), entitled ‘Further Collaboration in Healthcare Sector between Vietnam and Japan.’ The event was one of the bilateral side events organised during the annual meeting of the World Health Organization Regional Committee for the Western Pacific that was held in Himeji, Japan, on 27 October 2021. Given the importance and potential of Viet Nam–Japan cooperation in the healthcare sector, experts in the healthcare field from Viet Nam and Japan convened and held engaging discussions to identify mid- and long-term goals that should be addressed through multisectoral collaborations and partnerships between the two countries.
The Ministry of Health of Viet Nam, the Ministry of Health, Labour, and Welfare (MHLW) and the Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry (METI) of Japan supported this event.
