Mr. Nobuo Tanaka, Executive Director of International Energy Agency (IEA), called on Mr. Hidetoshi Nishimura, Executive Director, ERIA, on 22 November 2010 at ERIA Annex Office.

Mr. Nishimura explained the recent developments of ERIA especially for the field of Energy that ERIA has been making important contributions. Currently, all the research projects that initiated by the EAS Energy Cooperation Task Force (ECTF) are being conducted by ERIA.

Both parties exchanged views on the cooperation between IEA and ERIA, concerns pertaining to the Energy situation in East Asia, and ASEAN Connectivity in the field of Energy.
