Visit of Delegation from The Ehime Bank, Ltd. and Private Enterprises in Ehime Prefecture, Japan

The delegation from The Ehime Bank, Ltd., led by Mr. Kojiro Nakayama, Chairman of the Ehime Bank, Ltd., and Mr. Rurio Imai, Honorary Advisor, The Ehime Shimbun Co., Ltd., and heads of private enterprises in Ehime Prefecture (Japan) visited ERIA Annex Office on August 3, 2012.

Around 15 Indonesian people who have several years' experience in studying in Ehime University (working in Indonesia now) also participated.

This was the third time for them to visit ERIA. Mr. Nakayama opened the meeting and expressed his appreciation for ERIA to receive the delegation. Prof. Hidetoshi Nishimura, Executive Director of ERIA, explained the history since ERIA's establishment and recent developments of ERIA's activities.

Mr. Kenichi Kuroda, Advisor, PT TORAY Industries Indonesia and Mr. Katsutoshi Ina, President Director, PT SIKO TECHNO, delivered their remarks as representatives of Japanese companies in Indonesia. The meeting was concluded by Mr. Imai's remarks.

During the question and answer session at the meeting, a lively discussion was conducted. Participants interested in ERIA's role for ASEAN and East Asia and shared the importance of accepting different culture, lifestyle and people in that country when living or doing business in a foreign country.
