Geneva, 6 July 2023: The World Economic Forum (WEF)’s Strategic Intelligence facilitates the exploration and monitoring of issues that drive transformative change across economies, industries, and global issues. Utilising its innovative tool called Transformation Maps, it enables over 1,000,000 public users to connect the dots on the most relevant and intricate subjects, encompassing more than 290 areas, including broader social, technological, and environmental topics. The Transformation Maps also features a comprehensive collection of key strategic issues for individual countries and regions, all co-curated by leading international institutions, think tanks, and global experts.
Dr Giulia Ajmone Marsan, ERIA Director for Strategy and Partnership, and member of the WEF Expert Network and WEF Strategic Intelligence Community, was invited by WEF to contribute to the co-curation of the newly developed WEF Transformation Map of ASEAN. The ASEAN transformation map was developed under the guidance of WEF by Dr Marsan, along with Lina Maulidina, Senior Program Officer, and Amelia Litania, Program Officer of ERIA.
The transformation map showcases eight cross-cutting and emerging issues occurring in the ASEAN region, which include:

- Inclusive Growth
- Digital Transformation
- Skills Development
- Circular Economy and Green Transition
- Millennial and Gen Z consumers
- Digital Transformation
- Innovation and Entrepreneurship in ASEAN
