President of ERIA Pays Courtesy Visit to Secretary (East), Ministry of External Affairs of India

New Delhi, 8 December 2023: Tetsuya Watanabe, President of ERIA, paid a courtesy visit to Ambassador Sourabh Kumar, Secretary (East), Ministry of External Affairs of India. President Watanabe and his delegation received a warm welcome from Ambassador Kumar and his team.

Ambassador Kumar thanked ERIA for its support to India, especially in conducting several studies, including the India-Myanmar-Thailand Trilateral Highway. He also reiterated his support for a stronger India-ASEAN partnership and expressed interest in collaborating with ERIA toward that goal.

President Watanabe conveyed his appreciation to Ambassador Kumar for the hospitality and expressed a desire to collaborate more closely with the Indian government to bolster economic cooperation with ASEAN.
