Executive Director of ERIA meets Deputy Prime Minister of Thailand

Prof. Hidetoshi Nishimura, Executive Director of ERIA had a meeting with H.E. Niwatthamrong Bunsnngphaisan, Deputy Prime Minister of Thailand on August 19, 2013 in Brunei Darussalam during 45th ASEAN Economic Ministers Meeting and related meetings. From the Government of Thailand, Ms Piramol Charoenpao, Director-General, Department of Trade Negotiations was present at the meeting.

Prof. Nishimura expressed his appreciation to numerous supports from Thailand and cooperation activities with ERIA, which include the support of ERIA Capacity Building Programme in Thailand.� Also, Prof. Nishimura updated Deputy Prime Minister on the progress made by ERIA in its Community building efforts.

Deputy Prime Minister noted the achievements made by ERIA, which have brought about benefits to the region and beyond and reassured the readiness of ERIA to support this regional efforts.Both parties confirmed their cooperation towards the success of the Capacity Building Programme that ERIA will organize with support of the Government of Thailand.
