Tokyo, 7 March 2025: The ERIA School of Government facilitated a high-level policy dialogue with Mr Akira Amari, former Secretary General of Japan’s Liberal Democratic Party (LDP), and Dr Chatib Basri and Dr Mari Elka Pangestu of Indonesia’s National Economic Council.

Building on discussions from the Executive Leadership Roundtable held in Jakarta last January, the dialogue explored key economic issues, including trade, semiconductor supply chain, industrial policy, and economic security. Professor Nobuhiro Aizawa, Dean and Managing Director of the ERIA School of Government, engaged with the experts in meaningful exchanges on these critical topics.

ERIA looks forward to continued collaboration with Indonesia’s National Economic Council to drive progress in these policy areas.
