New Delhi, 11 December 2023: ERIA’s President, Tetsuya Watanabe, paid a courtesy visit to the Hon’ble Minister of Commerce and Industry, Piyush Goyal, in New Delhi, India. During the meeting, President Watanabe expressed gratitude to the Government of India for their renewed funding commitment and support towards ERIA, as stated by Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the ASEAN-India Summit held on 7 September 2023 in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Minister Goyal reiterated India’s unwavering support for ERIA’s initiatives. He conveyed his appreciation for ERIA’s tireless efforts and steadfast dedication towards trade and economic integration in the region, expressing hope that ERIA would be the voice of fair trade and the Global South. President Watanabe offered ERIA’s full support to India.
