Jakarta, 18 November 2024: ERIA President Tetsuya Watanabe welcomed a courtesy visit from Michael Ronning, the newly appointed Mission Director of USAID Asia. Ronning was accompanied by John Edgar, Director of the ASEAN Office of USAID Asia, and members of the ASEAN Office delegation.

During the meeting, both leaders introduced their respective activities and missions, exchanging views on key issues such as healthcare, energy transition, the digital economy, and capacity building. They also explored potential areas for collaboration between ERIA and USAID. Both parties expressed strong interest in working together to address challenges facing the Southeast Asian region.
