Manila, 14 June 2024: ERIA President Tetsuya Watanabe paid a courtesy visit to the Secretary of the National Economic Development Agency (NEDA) of the Philippines, H.E. Arsenio Balisacan.

Accompanying Secretary Balisacan were Dr. Aniceto Orbeta, President of the Philippines Institute for Development Studies (PIDS), and Dr. Majah-Leah V. Ravago, President of the Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP).

President Watanabe expressed gratitude to the Government of the Philippines for their strong support of ERIA over the years and briefed Secretary Balisacan on recent ERIA activities.

During the meeting, both parties exchanged views on several key topics, including digital transformation, sustainability and decarbonisation strategy, industrial development, and more. They also explored potential areas for collaboration and cooperation.
