ERIA President Pays Courtesy Visit to Minister of Labour and Vocational Training of the Kingdom of Cambodia

Phnom Penh, 3 July 2024: ERIA President Tetsuya Watanabe paid a courtesy visit to the Minister of Labour and Vocational Training of the Kingdom of Cambodia, H.E. Heng Sour. This meeting follows their initial discussion in October 2023.

During the meeting, President Watanabe and Minister Heng Sour emphasised the importance of upskilling and reskilling the workforce. They noted that such initiatives are crucial to meet the demands of emerging industries such as AI, the digital economy, automotive, and energy.

Both parties expressed a strong interest in fostering close collaboration. Minister Heng Sour specifically wishes for ERIA to continue working with the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training on joint projects and events related to human resources development.
