Manila, 2 April 2025: On 2 April 2025, ERIA President Tetsuya Watanabe paid a courtesy visit to His Excellency Masato Kanda, the newly appointed President of the Asian Development Bank (ADB), at ADB’s headquarters in Manila.

President Watanabe extended warm congratulations to President Kanda on his new role and expressed keen interest in deepening collaboration between ERIA and ADB to support regional development and integration.

Their discussion covered pressing regional issues, including digital transformation, energy transition, and emerging trends in industrial policy. Both leaders shared a common interest in exploring new pathways for institutional cooperation.
