ERIA President Joins Closed-Door Ministerial Meeting on Clean Cooking at India Energy Week 2025

New Delhi, 12 February 2025: Following his participation in the Ministerial Panel on Clean Cooking Access at India Energy Week 2025, ERIA President Tetsuya Watanabe was invited to a closed-door ministerial meeting on clean cooking energy access.

The high-level discussion brought together Honourable Minister Hardeep S. Puri, Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Government of India, alongside Deputy Prime Ministers and Ministers from the Global South, as well as representatives from international organisations such as the International Energy Agency (IEA).

Building on key themes from the earlier panel, President Watanabe highlighted the importance of expanding clean and reliable energy access to drive economic growth and sustainable development. He also emphasised the role of South–South cooperation and the need for scalable, innovative solutions to accelerate progress in clean cooking access across the region.
