Vientiane, 8 October 2024: On the sidelines of the 44th and 45th ASEAN Summits and Related Summits in Vientiane, ERIA President Tetsuya Watanabe held a bilateral meeting with H.E. Dato Erywan Pehin Yusof, the Minister of Foreign Affairs II of Brunei Darussalam.

The meeting focused on key issues, particularly the energy transition and climate change. Both parties explored potential areas of cooperation, especially between the ERIA-Asia Zero Emissions Centre (AZEC) and the ASEAN Centre for Climate Change, with the aim of strengthening regional efforts towards sustainability.
