Jakarta, 28 March 2022: The Economic Research Institute for ASEAN and East Asia (ERIA) launched the Entrepreneurship, Start-ups and Innovation (E-S-I) Knowledge Lab today as part of its ongoing efforts to engage the growing community of innovators, aspiring entrepreneurs, and start-uppers in the region.

In 2021, ERIA organised an E-S-I webinar series to discuss how these trends were shaping the post-pandemic recovery across ASEAN and East Asia. The acronym quickly became used frequently to describe the ecosystem and its stakeholders, with many suggesting that more could be done to build this community.

The E-S-I Knowledge Lab was therefore birthed as a response to these suggestions and designed to be an evolving platform to engage in discussions, develop new thinking, engage in peer learning and test different ideas. It centres around its website, www.esi-eria.org and will adopt a multi-pronged ‘3-E approach’: Engage and Empower start-uppers, entrepreneurs, eco-system builders and policy makers by presenting important and relevant information, and collectively Embrace all that are part of this community.

As part of the initiative, the E-S-I Knowledge Lab page has also been launched on LinkedIn  and interested members of the community are invited to follow and be a part of the journey.
