Hanoi, 7 June 2024: ERIA expanded its partnership with the University of Engineering and Technology, Vietnam National University (VNU-UET), by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on the ERIA Digital Innovation and Sustainable Economy Centre (E-DISC). Professor Chu Duc Trinh signed the MoU on behalf of VNU-UET, while Koji Hachiyama, ERIA’s Chief Operating Officer, signed on behalf of ERIA.

The MoU signing marked a milestone for both parties to collaborate and cooperate on various programmes related to digital innovation and sustainable economic development. The cooperation will cover several areas, including joint research activities, promoting new methods of human resources development, co-hosting events such as public–private dialogues and workshops, and other projects on a regular basis.

This MoU is significant for the establishment of the ASEAN Technology University Network project. ERIA is committed to contributing to the advancement of digital innovation and the digital economy in the Southeast Asia region by providing a cooperative platform that allows academia, policymakers, private entities, and experts to collaborate.
