Mr. Hidetoshi Nishimura, Executive Director of ERIA, made a courtesy call on Mr. Akihiro Ohata, Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan, in Tokyo on 22 September 2010.

(left above) In the meeting, Mr. Nishimura handed a letter from H.E. Dr. Surin Pitsuwan, Secretary-General of ASEAN, congratulating Mr. Ohata on his appointment as the new Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry. Mr Nishimura conveyed his gratitude to the Minister for METI's continuous support since the establishment of ERIA.

Earlier, on September 21, 2010, Mr. Nishimura made a courtesy call on Mr. Tadahiro Matsushita, Senior Vice Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan. (right above) In the meeting, Mr. Nishimura expressed gratitude to Mr. Matsushita's gracious understanding of and support to ERIA's activities. He gave the Minister a report on recent developments in ERIA.
