Jakarta, 19 March 2025: ERIA had the honour of welcoming H.E. Ambassador Heng Sarith, Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Cambodia to ASEAN, for a courtesy visit to its office in Jakarta.

During his visit, Ambassador Heng Sarith toured ERIA’s office, including the designated venue for the upcoming ERIA School of Government Leadership Lecture, where Samdech Techo Hun Sen, President of the Senate of Cambodia, will serve as a distinguished speaker in May. He also held discussions with Prof. Nobuhiro Aizawa, Dean of the ERIA School of Government, on the event’s preparations and logistical arrangements.

As a gesture of appreciation, Ambassador Heng Sarith presented a token of recognition to ERIA, reaffirming the institute’s commitment to strengthening collaboration with Cambodia and ASEAN. The upcoming lecture by Samdech Techo Hun Sen is expected to serve as a significant institutional milestone for Southeast Asia, marking a historic moment for regional leadership and cooperation.

The ERIA School of Government Leadership Lecture Series provides a platform for distinguished leaders and policymakers to engage in insightful discussions, fostering thought leadership and deeper regional cooperation in Southeast Asia.
