Yoshitaka Watanabe is a legal policy professional currently serving as the Manager of Legal Policy at ERIA. Since joining the Ministry of Justice of Japan in 2000, he has been involved in policymaking and implementation, primarily in the fields of civil and commercial law. Before joining ERIA, he served as a Long-term Resident Expert for the JICA Vietnam Legal and Judicial Project from 2021 to 2023.
Yoshitaka Watanabe holds a Bachelor's degree in Laws from University of Tokyo and a Master’s degree in Public Policy from the Graduate School of Public Policy, University of Tokyo.
