Profile
Fumitaka Machida joined The Export-Import Bank of Japan (current JBIC) in 1992 and has got experience in the field of international finance such as sovereign loan, corporate finance, project finance, equity investment, fund business, securitization in Asia and Oceania, Europe, Middle East, and Africa, and he is the former Chief Representative of Regional Headquarters for Asia and Pacific, JBIC (2012-2016). With his track record as banker in PPP infrastructure projects to win several Deal of the Year prizes and experience on policy coordination among governments, multilateral development banks and international forums, he became Counsellor and Special Advisor, National Policy Unit of Cabinet Secretariat, Government of Japan, appointed by Prime Minister in 2009, and he has working experience as member of Board of Directors at investment bank and infrastructure companies in Asia. He is now working for ERIA as ERIA Financial Expert (2016-now) and Senior Fellow of Healthcare Service (2020-now).
