Fitri Astari joined ERIA in April 2024 as a Research Associate in Intellectual Property Rights (IPR). She holds a Master's degree in International Studies in Intellectual Property Law from Technische Universität Dresden, Germany, and completed an exchange semester in the Intellectual Property Law program at Jagiellonian University, Poland.

Before joining ERIA, she worked as a lawyer in intellectual property (IP) law firms, handling both contentious and non-contentious matters, including copyright and trademark enforcement, licensing, compliance, and litigation. She also provided advice on corporate matters, including contract drafting and policy review. Astari was also a contributor to an international IPR publication, where she wrote about Indonesian IP law for both local and international audiences.
