Yasuhiko Saito is a Research Project Professor at the College of Economics, Nihon University, Tokyo, Japan, an Adjunct Professor at the School of Gerontology, University of Southern California, USA, and a Senior Research Fellow at ERIA, Jakarta, Indonesia. His specialisations are in demography and gerontology, and he has been working on population ageing and health issues in both developed and developing countries. Currently, he is overseeing a longitudinal survey project on ageing and health in the Philippines and Viet Nam.
