Ardhana Tahriza Syarif has joined ERIA since February 2024. Currently, he is working on projects under the Policy Design Department covering several areas, ranging from ASEAN Connectivity to the blue economy.
Prior to joining ERIA, Ardhana was a graduate assistant at the School of Architecture, Planning, and Policy Development, Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) during his master’s study from 2021 to 2023. He participated in various activities within that role, most notably as a research assistant on urban transport planning and policy topics and as a teaching assistant on transport and infrastructure planning studios. At one time, he also supported several facilitation workshops on improving the Indonesian government’s public services from late 2023 to early 2024. Ardhana holds a Master of Science in Transportation and a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering, both from ITB.
Ardhana’s profound interest in transport issues and aviation led him to develop his master’s thesis, which focused on investigating the motives and barriers to implementing urban transport integration in the Jakarta Metropolitan Area, centred on Jakarta’s airport rail link. His work then enabled him to engage closely with national and provincial-level stakeholders related to transport regulation and operation.
