Anna Maria Rosario D. Robeniol joined ERIA as a Senior Policy Fellow. She spent much of her career working on international trade policy, in general, and ASEAN economic integration, in particular. Her career highlights included holding various positions with the Philippine Government and the ASEAN Secretariat.
As Assistant Secretary for Trade Policy and Negotiations for the Department of Trade and Industry, she led the Philippines at the ASEAN Senior Economic Officials Meeting (SEOM) and was the Lead Negotiator for the Philippines-EU FTA and the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP). She chaired the SEOM during the Philippines’ Chairmanship of ASEAN in 2017.
At the ASEAN Secretariat, she used her technical expertise to substantively contribute to the conclusion of negotiations for key ASEAN agreements, including the AEC Blueprint 2015; ASEAN’s FTAs with China, Japan, Korea, India, and Australia and New Zealand; and the RCEP Agreement.
