Regional Roundtable: Cross-border Data Flows in South-East Asia

Completed

Digitalization is now a key to enable economic growth amidst COVID-19. Cross-border data flows (CBDF) become more vital to support the growth of digital transformation across all sectors. In the region, mechanisms for encouraging cross-border data flows to stimulate innovation and economic growth still need to be promoted at the national and regional level. The commitment of the ASEAN countries towards a regional integration could be leveraged towards that purpose.

What efforts are being made on the national and regional level to drive cross-border data flow in the SEA region? What are the challenges and opportunities in the region in enabling cross-border data flow to drive a more integrated digital economy? Join us online to address these questions.
