Philippine Private Sector Initiatives to Curb Marine Plastic through EPR

Completed

ERIA’s Regional Knowledge Centre for Marine Plastic Debris in collaboration with the Philippine Alliance for Recycling and Materials Sustainability (PARMS) will highlight the important role played by the private sector towards the implementation of the Extended Producer Responsibility Act of 2022, how it supports the goals of the Philippine National Plan of Action for the Prevention, Reduction, and Management of Marine Litter (NPOA-ML), and share lessons learned from international and regional experience.

As a part of ERIA’s Private Sector Initiatives to Reduce Marine Plastics - Event Series, this forum will be an occasion for various stakeholders in the Philippines to stock-take the progress made and discuss the many ways private companies have been contributing to combating plastic waste and marine plastic debris. This event will also be a venue for private companies in the Philippines to showcase their business initiatives that contribute to the reduction of (marine) plastic waste.
