With the ASEAN’s 'Sustainable Development for All' agenda, ASEAN economies will be even more rapidly and digitally interconnected, and there will be more interdependent cyber risks. In other words, more societal interdependence by way of digitalization. It is critical for ASEAN economies to develop and manage healthier and more resilient cyberspace as the foundation of Digital Innovation and a Sustainable Economy.
One of the most important conditions for enabling robust cooperation in cyberspace is the availability of cross-comparable statistics that empower decision-makers to set policies based on evidence, establish priorities, and view trends.
With ERIA’s efforts to mainstream inclusivity and sustainability in digitally connected societies and economies, CyberGreen collaborated with ERIA over the past three years to develop the 'Cyber Public Health Model' and the metrics framework. These metrics will help policymakers to manage cyber risk factors, and to develop rational, data-driven policies geared towards healthier and more sustainable digital economic development.
Within this context, ERIA will hold a workshop on data-driven policy design for healthier and more resilient cyber ecosystem. Ms Yurie Ito, Executive Director of CyberGreen, will brief about the research and development, and discuss the next phase plan with featured guest speakers Dr Onno Purbo, Vice Rector of Institut Teknologi Tangerang Selatan and Dr Lurong Chen, Senior Economist of ERIA. The officials from National Cyber and Crypto Agency and Ministry of Communication and Information Technology of the Republic of Indonesia will deliver the keynote speech on ASEAN Digital Strategy.
