Courtesy Visit of ERIA Delegation to Kirirom Institute of Technology

Kampong Speu, 29 May 2024: The delegation from ERIA, led by Koji Hachiyama, Chief Operating Officer of ERIA, visited the Kirirom Institute of Technology (KIT) in Cambodia. Dr Masamu Kamaga, President of KIT, warmly received and welcomed the ERIA delegation.

During the visit, Dr Kamaga briefed the delegation on KIT's recent activities and development plans. KIT students showcased their Internet of Things (IoT) projects, including face recognition for digital attendance tracking and a smart laundry system. Additionally, students presented podcast projects aimed at promoting the institution.

These activities are part of the ERIA Digital Innovation and Sustainable Economy Centre (E-DISC) initiative, which aims to endorse and support the development of digital innovation and transformation in Cambodia and ASEAN countries. By facilitating collaboration and knowledge sharing, the advancement of digital technologies is expected to enhance sustainable economic growth in the region.
