The Seminar and Workshop was conducted at Sofitel Phnom Penh Phokeethra Hotel, Cambodia on October 31 and November 1, 2013. With topic on RCEP, Competition Law, Consumer Protection, IPR, the two-day seminar "Strengthening Cambodia's Competitiveness" was organized by Economic Research Institute for ASEAN and East Asia (ERIA) and Ministry of Commerce, the Kingdom of Cambodia, supported by Bangkok Research Center, JETRO Bangkok.
H.E Mr. Sun Chanthol, Senior Minister, Minister of Commerce, the Kingdom of Cambodia and Prof. Hidetoshi Nishimura, Executive Director, ERIA was opened the seminar with 300 participants from private sectors and educational academic and research institutes.

The seminar was a part of long-standing capacity building program since 2008 initiated by ERIA for the new ASEAN members (Cambodia, Lao PDR, Myanmar and Vietnam) on their efforts to integrate their economies with ASEAN.
