A brief by Ms Anita Prakash was published in The Perth USAsia Centre’s Indo-Pacific Analysis Briefs 2020 Vol 6.

In her research analysis, The Emerging Architecture of Indo-Pacific: Whither India?, Anita discusses India’s decision to leave RCEP, the message this sends about its economic commitment to the region, and how new challenges – including, but not limited to, COVID-19 – increases the importance of India’s active participation in regional mechanisms.

Anita's key role at ERIA is policy research and policy development for leaders and senior officials of ASEAN, East Asia and Oceania, Europe and Africa. She provides policy and research support for the Trade Ministers meetings in ASEAN, the East Asia Summit, Asia-Europe Meeting, and to the T 20 and Sherpa process in G20. Her policy research covers international trade, multilateral governance and international relations with special focus on trade and investment, regional value chains and connectivity in Southeast Asia, East Asia, and between Asia-Europe and Asia-Africa.
