JICA and ERIA deepen Collaboration and Cooperation

The delegation of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) led by Mr. Akihiko Tanaka, President of JICA, visited ERIA Annex Office on September 4, 2012.

Prof. Hidetoshi Nishimura, Executive Director of ERIA, and some ERIA senior officials received the delegation.

They exchanged views on the possible future areas of cooperation between both parties. Prof. Nishimura stressed to Mr. Tanaka of the importance of ASEAN's efforts towards realization of ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) by 2015 and spoke highly of ERIA's achievements made in recent years under AEC.

In concluding, Prof. Nishimura conveyed his and the ERIA's readiness to working closely with JICA to further enhancing the relationship between both parties in order to contribute for the development and prosperity in the region.
